Wiggy
Bill "Wiggy" Johnson was promoted to Chief of the West Haven Fire Department on 3-30-21. Before that, he was a Captain in charge of training from 2020-2021 with the West Haven Fire Dept. He is certified FF 3, Fire Officer 2, and Fire Instructor 2. He is also a HazMat Tech and holds CT State Pump Operator and Aerial Operator certifications. He is a CT EMT. Bill is very involved with volunteering in the community and enjoys refereeing Hockey in his spare time. He is a CT. Licensed security guard. Capt.. Johnson is available as a professional witness.
Capt. Johnson is an adjunct professor at Gateway Community College in the fire science program.
Capt. Johnson is the training officer for the West Haven fire department.
Capt. Johnson is also the safety officer on all incidents.
